OUR MISSION

 

To lift up the fallen, strengthen the weak, encourage the fainthearted, guide the lost, and provide a caring, safe refuge.

  • Reduce poverty and homelessness in Chatham-Kent.

  • Improve the quality of life for a person experiencing homelessness.

  • Educate and enhance life skills.

  • Assist in building self-worth.

  • Communicate effectively with other professionals and community resources.

  • Promote independent living with a holistic approach to healthy, safe, and spiritual practices.

  • Connect with public services with respect, dignity, and accountability.

 

VISION

 

Chatham Hope Haven works to support residents of Chatham-Kent who find themselves homeless for a variety of reasons, including job loss, mental health issues, drug addictions, etc. 

Chatham Hope Haven offers a safe haven for ten homeless men in the Chatham-Kent area.

Our vision is:

  • To share the gift of hope, comfort, peace, and most importantly, love, to people in need.

  • Offer a refuge for men experiencing homelessness.

  • Create a climate for hearing the misunderstood and give joy to the sad of heart

  • Work with the community to offer resources.

  • Encourage one to take responsibility of self.

  • Experience high levels of spiritual health.

  • Assist homeless men in becoming a more productive, independent part of the community.

  • Educate the public.

 

GOALS

To provide the necessary tools, resources, and support to gain stable living conditions in an atmosphere of dignity, integrity, and respect.

 

WE BELIEVE

  • To teach accountability for one’s own actions or inactions.

  • Our philosophy benefits each man and the community.

  • To develop future resource programs as we progress.
